What a fantastic start to 2011 at the Brighter Networking group with attendance from some wonderful thriving businesses all looking for the same thing.
The first meeting of the year was kick started by the energetic Cas Francis of April Insurance who spoke about the importance of goal setting personally and in business.
Then followed a vibrant and thought-provoking presentation by Ian McGregor of Peak Change in Chesterfield who demonstrated the importance of capturing peoples imagination and concentration by speaking through 'stories'(what we call Metaphors)
Its important to use stories in business as it speaks at two levels - consciously and unconsciously which gets the message across more.
During the presentation we demonstrated the detail which could be remembered from a number of stories only heard once and some of those were weeks previous
