{Grand}Mother's Day Plaque

{made by me monday}

This is a super quick, easy and inexpensive Mother's Day gift idea! I had an old cabinet door front in my office just waiting for the perfect thing...and this is it!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
piece of wood/cabinet front
mod podge
distress ink
hot glue
ribbon
printer and paper
I made a quick subway art picture using words that describe my mom. I asked my kids and they came up with some cute ones! Every word on this plaque represents my mom! She is a woman of faith, she has such a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, she is the most giving person I know, and she always has a prize for the grandkids EVERY TIME she sees them! My favorite word is the one at the bottom... "unpredictable". My mom is the type to toilet paper your house in the middle of the night, and sneak in and do your laundry for you when you aren't home. That's just how AWESOME she is!!
First, I painted my board black and sanded the edges, then I printed off the subway art from my computer onto card stock paper. I cut my paper to fit on my board and distressed the edges and a little in the middle of my paper. Mod podged it on to my board and sanded the edges of the card stock. I added a ribbon hanger to the back in case she wanted to hang it on the wall. Or you can give it with an easel too! Then, lastly, I added a few rhinestones to each corner for some bling! ;)
TOTAL TIME SPENT: 30 mintues
TOTAL MONEY SPENT: $0
