Happy Monday and welcome to the first installment of
My husband and I are overhauling our camper trailer. We LOVE to camp and our best memories as a family are in the cool pines of Arizona! My boys are natural campers and that makes our family vacations a breeze! :) We are slowly working on our home away from home and as we finish each room, I will post the before and after pics. Just to give you a little bit of an idea of what we are planning to accomplish with this beast, here's our TO DO list:
rip out all tile and carpet
lay a new tile floor throughout
rip off old wallpaper
remove 1980's molding
wallpaper the walls
add a little bit of wainscot
paint the cabinets
paint the hardware
new kitchen faucet
remove toilet and sink in bathroom
install a whole new bathroom
remove the dining area
remove the 1970's stereo
add a bench to the dining area
remove the fridge and use for storage
curtains for windows
add a cute ladder to the bunk beds
paint the outside of trailer
replace outside awning
So, inside we started by ripping everything out. The floor, the wallpaper, and the bathroom were the first to go. I wish I would have taken a better BEFORE picture. I got carried away, and the next thing I knew, the tile was gone. So, this is the camper bathroom without tile. It's not a big bathroom, you hardly have room to turn around in a complete circle. But, it's a BATHROOM and I am SOOO grateful to have one! :) Our shower is packed full of our camping gear that we take with us (yes, even a satellite dish) and that's one thing I am excited for with this makeover is to get my shower back!
BEFORE
AFTER
New floors, new air vents, new walls, new toilet! :)
Moving on to the SINK,
BEFORE
of course, everyone bathroom sink needs Bath and Body Works soap...even while camping.
And here's the
AFTER
We ripped out the sink and we covered the whole bathroom with water resistant tile walls. My hubby picked out the fabric for the front of the sink, and he's VERY proud of his purchase. I can't say that I agree, but if it makes him happy! I am thinking it would have been cute with a polka dot fabric or maybe damask... he says no! haha! It's perfect for him to be able to get below the sink and do the plumbing that he needs to do, and then it closes off nicely with the fabric. We got the sink online for a smokin' price and the faucet as well. The floor got new tile and we filled in all the gaps with caulk. I absolutely LOVE the new bathroom! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the guy who is helping me to overhaul this beast!
