Welcome back another
Made by Me Monday!
Remember when I made THIS? It was round 3 of the Crafters Competition. Well, since summer is over I decided that my handy dandy frame needed a REdo! That's the great thing about vinyl lettering... it picks off glass fairly easily. Here's my old 60 days of summer checklist...
As sad as I was to see the summer end, I am happy that we can make another one next year with different goals to accomplish. I scraped off the summer list using a vinyl applicator (or a credit card would work) and a bit of GOO-gone...
I found this cute green fabric in my craft box and decided that it would be a good background for behind the glass of my new list. I LOVED the burlap, but figured it was time for a change. I wrapped my board, just like I did for the summer list. I actually just went right on top of the burlap that I had on there before.
a little bit of hot glue does the trick!
and VIOLA!
I am REALLY excited for this to be dry erase, so we can use it every Saturday! :) When all the chores are done, we celebrate with some ice cream and wipe the board clean to start again the next Saturday. I thought about switching up the chores so it's not the same every week. But, after thinking about it, I am wanting the kids to know exactly what their jobs are and I know they will do them well. They may get tired of doing the same.chore.every.week... but that's the fun part of being a kid, right? *wink*
and when we get tired of the background, all we have to do is pick new fabric.
I love it!
